Follow our journey on TravelArk at http://v2.travelark.org/travel-blog/victorkubik/26.
Along with Jorge and Kathy de Campos, Bev and I will visit our Sabbath-keeping brethren in Portuguese-speaking Angola from July 26-29, 2019. This is the church that we have become very well acquainted with for more than 25 years.
THEME: Living God's Way Today.
The purpose of the camp was to help the youths in the Church learn the Word of God and other life skills, that can help them and the church at large.
It's been another wonderful experience of youth camp at Verino this year. Campers and staff working together to achieve a common goal, eternal life. With the different activities incorporated as we learn God's way of life. And this years' theme " Living God's Way Today," was well connected in the many activities that were put in place.
The Lusaka Zambia women enrichment weekend was held at our church property in Verino Chongwe. It was sponsored by South West Missouri women who tirelessly raised and provided funds to help this event in zambia which was held on 3rd July to 7th July, 2019. The funding was done through Debbie McNeely who was in Zambia and saw the situation that women could not hold the event without a helping hand.
Women's Enrichment programs were held in three areas of Zambia during the first week of July 2019. We have received our first report from the one held in Isoka in northeast Zambia.
The best week ever!!
For many young people in Zambia, camp is the best and favourite time of the year for them. Once every year we hold camp and many young people from various locations in Zambia attend this event. It’s a time they look forward to being found in the zone, making new friends and being surrounded with people of similar beliefs.
From March 19, 2018 through April 17, Beverly and I will visit three African countries where we feel near and dear to the people. We have worked there in various ways through the United Church of God and in humanitarian terms through LifeNets.
We will visit South Africa, Malawi and Zambia. We have people, projects and buildings on the agenda. I will have an up to day TravelArk blog posted at
United Youth Camp and Ambassador Bible College Sampler, South Africa: 24 to 31 December 2017
Following on from the success of the UYC Camp held in 2016 the 2017 camp was planned. The 2016 camp combined pre-teens and teens into one camp allowing parents of pre-teens to attend with their young children. This also raised the idea of an Ambassador Bible College Sampler being done in conjunction with the 2017 camp. Allowing the parents to be occupied during camp activities as well as any other adult members wishing to attend.
