What Really Matters (Physical Life)
- Ready or not, some day it will come to an end.
- There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or
days.
- All things you collected, whether treasured or
forgotten, will pass to someone else.
- Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to
irrelevance.
- It will not matter you owned or what you owed.
- Your grudges, resentments, frustrations and
jealousies will finally disappear.
- So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists
will expire.
- The wins, the losses that once seemed important will
fade away.
- It won't matter where you came from or what sided of
the track you lived on in the end.
- It won't matter whether you were beautiful or
brilliant.
- Even your gender and skin color will be irrelevant
Point. In the end what REALLY counts?
What Really Matters to God (Spiritual Life)
- Not what you get out of life, but what you give to
others.
- Not our big successes but our small successes in our
spiritual life.
- Did failure cause us to stumble spiritually or did we
go to God?
- Did our acts of kindness, encouragement, integrity
cause others to follow our example?
- In the end will those who loved be able to say "there
is a person who loved God above all that there is in life."
- Did we do our best in this short life to develop the
character of God in our lifetime through Bible study, prayer on a daily
basis?
- Will people around us see us acting out the
principles of the Bible because of our relationship with Him and His word?
- Will I have done my best to all areas of my life,
spiritually and physically?
- How much did I focus on eternal life in God's Kingdom
in my life?
What we we are in this physical life matters to God, but
more importantly in what we become spiritually with His His help.
Point: Be prepared spiritually in the event our lives are
cut short and we miss our chance to be in God' future kingdom.
