Prophetic Times December 30, 2017 Jim Tuck

Greetings from Phoenix,

We are set to begin a new year as the international climate among nations is tense, and we wonder what this portends.  Some predict the United States economy will boom in 2018 and tank in 2019. Others have warned of imminent war in the Mideast.

Only time will tell, but the Bible admonishes in I Thes. 5:1-5,  "But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness."

Those who are part of the darkness of this world either know nothing of the Bible or they don't care. Many are so caught up in their own lives they do not take time to give a thought to the really important questions of their own salvation.

The message of  the scriptures is that end time events will be a surprise most people, and we as Christians must be prepared spiritually.  (Luke 21:34-36)

God's true people have an understanding of the times having knowledge of what prophecy says and are alert to events transpiring in the world.  They walk in the light.

As we begin another year it behooves us to remain aware and alert, and be reminded that one major event could change nearly everything.    Please have a great Sabbath!

Sincere regards,
Jim Tuck
