Greetings from Phoenix,

Increasingly, the United States is standing alone in our decisions among the nations, and an example of this is the move of Israel’s capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.   The U.N. recently voted unanimously to disavow U.S. President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.  Of course, this will make little difference to the United States foreign policy, but even our allies did not back the United States.

Some 128 countries voted for the resolution, while nine voted “no,” and 35 nations abstained, including Canada, Mexico and Australia.  Nikki Haley, the U.S. UN Ambassador, openly stated that this vote would not be forgotten, meaning that financial aid given would be possibly pulled.

Israel and Jerusalem stand alone, and the virtually the whole world is opposed to this tiny little nation.  Regular threats are hurled at Israel on a daily basis, and armies surround her poised to wipe it off the face of the earth.  The Bible warned when this day would come in the book of Zechariah.

Zech 12: 1- 3 “The burden of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and JerusalemAnd it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.”

Even though the United States stands on the side of Israel we must not think we shall escape what Zechariah says.  To the contrary we will be the first target of destruction when the next major war breaks out. (Ezek. 6:1-6)

The good news is when the next world war is over Israel with survive as an ensign to the entire world when Jesus Christ will reign as king over the entire earth.   He will establish a government and kingdom which will never be perish. (Dan. 2:447:18

My hope is we are privileged to be there to serve and assist our great Lord when all of these things begin to happen in the new world.

Please have a wonderful and full Sabbath weekend!

Kind regards,
Jim Tuck
