Nathan Pachmayr
UPDATED June 18, 2008
From Victor Kubik -- I received a letter from Nathan and he asked me to update you with new information about his situation --
From Nathan: The Oregon Supreme Court reviewed the ruling made by the Oregon Court of Appeals (the review is at http://www.publications.ojd.state.or.us/S055206.htm) to send me back to be resentenced, and the Supreme Court reversed the Court of Appeals decision - which means I will be serving out the remainder of my sentence (with a releasee date of September 26, 2012.).
Even with the discouraging news, I have learned that my circumstances don't determine my happiness. My life has become more peaceful every day as God continues answer my prayer and have Him help me become a better person. I have no learned to live in the present (because the past is gone (Colossians 3:10 and the future isn't here yet - Matthew 6:34), how the be less judgmental (Matthew 7:1) and more kind, caring and peaceful to others (Galatians 5:22,23).
I would like to thank those who have already written to me, and I encourage anyone else who is a member of the United Church of God to write to me and share with me their blessings and experiences that they have received as a result.
Once again, thank you for your continued support me me . It means a lot.

UPDATED August 15, 2007
I just received a letter from Nathan. He wants to thank all the people who have written to him and who have been supportive of him.
His sentence may soon be shortened due to a favorable outcome of an appeal that he filed back in 2004. Up to 35 months of reduced sentence are at stake. This could mean that his release date would be changed from September 26, 2012 to October 27, 2009.
Nathan is asking for prayers in this matter as this hearing will take place soon.
Nathan declares that he has made many improvements since his incarceration. He thanks everyone again for their support and prayers.
