Lester was sentenced to life imprisonment as a juvenile. He went to prison at 15 for third degree murder. Lester is now about 68 years old. He was almost forced into a world of drugs and and guns by his dysfunctional father and he ran away from home as his life became out of control. Today Lester is very mellow and reserved and has extensively read the Bible. Last year he married his high school girlfriend and is grateful for his marriage. I performed the wedding ceremony. He has had to fight depression...especially in the years before his marriage.

I so wish he could be released. Actually Florida law says that a juvenile cannot be sentenced to life. But it is unlikely that the Florida governor and potential Presidential candidate would risk being “soft on crime” in releasing him. I baptized him about 6 years ago.
