Vince Szymkowiak, pastor, Rolla/St. Louis, MO; Fairview Heights, IL:
Thank you all for your prayers for Jeremy Ullrich, the young man who was severely injured when the motorcycle he was riding flipped over and landed on top of him. He suffered severe damage to his liver; about 40% of it had to be surgically removed. He lost about 60 pounds but the miracle is that God spared his life and healed him! He is home recovering.

From Vince Szymkowiak, pastor, St. Louis/Rolla, MO; Fairview Heights, IL:
Jeremy Ullrich had to have about one-half of his liver removed as it was crushed in the motorcycle accident. After three surgeries he is doing better They do not anticipate having to remove more of his liver. The main concern is a two and one-half inch blood clot just below his heart. It is beginning to shrink, so it is obvious that God is intervening in this regard as well. The news therefore is very positive.Thank you for your continued prayers.

Hi Mr. KubikJeremy has a staff infection and they are treating it with antibiotics . As of this morning he seemed to be a little better but his fever is still high and the doctor is adding a third antibiotic to try and stop the staff infection. I talked with Mary Ullrich this afternoon and she seemed to feel encouraged a little bit more than yesterday. Joe had to go back home to take care of a few things so that he could be here if they decide to go ahead with more surgery on Jeremy. They didn't know if this staff infection will delay further surgery for a while or not. I thought I would just send along the information that Mr. Szymkowiak has on this prayer request. The address is in the attachment for those who want to send cards.

Joe and Mary Ullrich request your prayers for their son, Jeremy, age 19. He was in a serious motorcycle accident last Sabbath. His situation is critical. He has had two surgeries so far. The internal bleeding has not stopped; He will have to undergo additional surgeries in order to stop the bleeding and to remove the dead tissue in his liver. The doctors are very concerned about a possible heart attack or stroke due to a blood clot in a major artery near the heart. Please pray for God's mercy and intervention in this very serious matter.

I went to the Carle hospital around 7:30P.M. Saturday evening and anointed a young man from Effilngham who was air lifted to the Carle hospital. His name is Jeremy Ullrich and he was in a motorcycle accident. Jeremy is 19 years old and his parents names are Joe and Mary Ullrich. I just talked with Joe on the phone a few minutes ago and he told me that Jeremy's liver was split and that he was loosing blood from one of the 2 arteries that supply the liver. The artery that was torn is the one that delivers about 20% and the other artery 80%. So far they have given him 6 units of blood and last night they did a procedure to try and stop the bleeding, but if this isn't successful they will have to do major surgery to correct the problem.
Joe asked for prayers for his son from all the brethren. If you would , he would like Jeremy to be on the prayer list. Bye for now and have a good weekLove and prayersNelson and Grace
