Your continued prayers are requested for Dr. Ian Simons of the
Winnipeg, MB congregation. He has been battling prostate cancer
for several years. The chemo therapies he has been utilizing
seemed to be slowly subduing the cancer, but recently his PSA
numbers have risen and he has not been feeling very well. He had
a scan of his upper torso this week and it was found that the
cancer has spread to the pleura ( the membrane around the lung)
on the right side and some fluid has built up in the right lung
as well. He has had some discomfort in his chest area and some
problems with shortness of breath which correlates to the cancer
spreading to the lung. Some good news is that the scan showed
that his urinary system and kidneys seem to be fine now. Your
prayers for healing and for wisdom and guidance in choosing the
most effective treatment therapies are very much appreciated.
