Mary, also known as ‘Tiny’, with her son Dan, and her granddaughter, Hanna.

Mary Reisdorff, long time member of God’s church, was diagnosed six weeks ago with advanced lung cancer.  She was moved to a Hospice care facility yesterday, May 5, and passed away quietly today, May 6, 2008 at 11:00 p.m. 

Mary is survived by her husband, Jerry Reisdorff, three children, Dan, Tony, and Rachel, and two grandchildren, Alex and Hanna Reisdorff.

Mary Reisdorff, long time member in Phoenix, AZ, was diagnosed a month ago with advanced lung cancer.  She had been feeling tired and often out of breath when she visited the doctor and got the news, but she did not expect such an extreme diagnosis.  Further tests have now shown that the cancer has already spread into her hip bones, her esophagus, and into her brain.  The doctors have suggested that she has about 3 to 6 months to live. 

Because the doctors have told her that chemo therapy and radiation would extend her life for only a very short time, she has elected not to have those therapies.   

She now has periods of extreme pain in her bones and her head, making it hard to get out of bed.  She is not able to take her pain medication without nausea and disorientation, complicating her experience.  Mary, her husband, Jerry, and her family are asking for prayers for her at this time, as her condition seems to worsen day by day.  She is asking for relief from the pain and healing of the cancer.
