Another Great Event of the Lafayette United Church of God

More than 90 people came by for a great weekend at Tom and Sue Peine's home....

Since 1998 we have held an annual superb fun event of socializing, worship of God and getting better acquainted at the home of Tom and Sue Peine in Indianapolis who host the entire Lafayette congregation for this three days.  It all begins late Friday afternoon as the first people arrive and set up tents.  We hold a Bible Study. Since I had just gotten back from Jordan the evening before I went through some of the Bible maps showing some of the better-known geographical locations of Bible times.  On the Sabbath we had a sumptuous brunch and then an outdoor service at 2:00 PM. Then a potluck with all the grills going.  We postponed our variety show because it our elder Gene Nielander died just a few days.  We had a great time with music and skits.  On Sunday it capped off the weekend with our great pancake breakfast and more fun, swimming, boating and volleyball.  We're all counting the days for the 2006 event!
