Leroy Neff

Over the last few years my father’s health has been gradually declining. His ninetieth birthday was on November 20. Shortly before midnight on January 28, Mr. Leroy Neff died at the age of 90.

I have always had a deep respect for my dad and have appreciated his many contributions to the Church and Work. He and Mom came into the church in Portland, Oregon, in 1951. We have had many wonderful family times together and thank God for those. But we know nothing lasts forever in this life and we now look to the permanency of the Family of God.

A graveside service at Gladewater Memorial Park at 11 a.m. this coming Monday, Feb. 3. Our family deeply appreciates the wonderful concern that is already being shown by so many.

From Victor Kubik

I have appreciated knowing Mr. Neff over the years, particularly during the time I worked with him in Pasadena from 1990-1995. He was always kind and respectful of all. When I worked in Church Administration we would periodically go for a cup of coffee during the time we worked in the same building.

In the United Church of God he was always a wonderful friend and acquaintenace. He lived in the Big Sandy, Texas area and would pick me up at the Tyler airport when I woud arrive. I came by to visit him shortly after the death of his wife Maxine in 2010. When I was a pastor in Kentucky and in Minnesota he came out to visit our congregations.

I will miss him. He truly was a wonderful person of high personal standards and integrity.
