United Church of God Youth Winter Camp
Williams Bay, Wisconsin
December 21-26, 2005
My wife Beverly and I were privileged to help out with the UCG winter camp in Williams Bay, Wisconsin. What a wonderful experience! This is the first time in eight years that we have helped with a camp. We thoroughly enjoyed all the things that we were asked to do which included working with the Indoor Teen Challenge, Bible Study, a Compass Check, a LifeNets Seminar about helping people (we focused on how UCG members and youth have worked with Tsunami reconstruction in Sri Lanka) and the Sabbath sermon. This is the first time that we had experienced a camp since THE ZONE has been established. The ZONE has seven elements. But, to fully appreciate the ZONE one has to live in it with the kids at camp. It's an environment of God's presence and His values. Whether it is a class, a sports activity or fellowship -- one always remembers that they are in an environment of character development that leads to real happiness. I thoroughly appreciated working and talking with young people who lived all the seven points in the photo below.
