Emajõe Kool in Tartu, Estonia
For the past two years we have been helping children at the Emajõe Kool, a
Tartu, Estonia school for for handicapped children. It is a school where
children live the entire week, then go home or to guardians on weekends.
The school cares for 105 children who have developmental and sight problems.

While at the UCG Church Festival in Tartu in September 1999, we have raised $956 to purchase outdoor gym equipment in the spring for the school. The school has almost no outside play equipment. When we took the children on a hike and the children relished their play on jungle gyms and climbing bars, we knew we had to do something to take care of them at their school which is now going through renovation.

An immediate need. Dr. Aime Meos, who has attended UCG meetings in Estonia for two years now is a child psychiatrist at the school. She has a route that takes her to several schools in southern Estonia. She has a great need for a laptop computer to keep records and do her work. Can you help? Do you know someone who has at least a 486 laptop with a CD drive? A tax receipt will be given from LifeNets.
