Dear Fellow Festival Travelers to Estonia!

Plans for the Feast are proceeding well and we are looking forward to fellowship with you. The ministers who plan to come to Estonia are Vic and Bev Kubik, Ozzie and Tina Engelbart, John and Hazel Lambert.

Estonia is one of three Baltic republics nestled in between Russia and Latvia and just across a narrow strait on the Baltic Sea from Finland. The setting will be in historic and charming Tartu. Tours are planned into the countryside in the midst of colorful fall foliage and one day will be devoted totally to touring Tallinn, the capital city.

The national currency is the Estonian Kroon (EEK) that has been fluctuating between 12 - 15 EEK per dollar. A good Internet site to visit regarding the value of the EEK versus the dollar is http://www.bloomberg.com/markets/wcv2.html.

Average temperature will be between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius (50 to 59 Fahrenheit).

Services will be conducted in the English language. Simultaneous translation into Estonian and German will be provided. There will also be two sermonettes in Russian that will be translated into English.

ACCOMMODATIONS AT THE PALLAS HOTEL

 Barclay Hotel where daily services
will be held

Most of us will be staying at the Pallas Hotel in the center of Tartu. Our meetings will be held a five-minute walk away at the Barclay Hotel. Both hotels are conveniently located to many of the historic sites and restaurants of Tartu.

You will each be responsible for the cost of your accommodations. We will make the arrangements for you. If we pay one-half of the hotel room costs prior to our stay there and pay the balance after we return home, we will be able to avoid an 18% Value Added Tax. Therefore, those who wish to do that, should send a check (made out to Victor Kubik) to us at:

3707 Turfway Court
Indianapolis, Indiana 46228

We need to receive one-half of the hotel room costs by August 15th. We will then wire the money to the hotel in order to avoid the 18% Value Added Tax (VAT). The balance should be paid to us at the end of the Feast. We will then wire them the balance as soon as we return to the United States.

Breakfast is included in the cost of the room. As nearly as we can determine at this time  (exchange rates can vary) the per night cost is:

Single rooms are 704 EEK (about $52 US)
Double are 792 EEK (about $59 US)
Deluxe room 960 EEK (about $71 US)
Suites are 1200 EEK (about $89 US)

MEALS, TOURS and ENTERTAINMENT

We are planning three group tours within Estonia. One will be a bus tour to the countryside with an afternoon picnic and hike.

We also plan an all day bus tour to the capital city of Tallinn. There should be plenty of free time to explore and shop.

And for those interested, there will be a guided walking tour of Tartu, one of the oldest cities in the Baltics.

Three group dinners are being arranged, one of which will be followed by an Estonian folklore singing and dancing ensemble.

THE PACKAGE

We will include:

      ·       tours
·       snacks and beverages following church services
·       three group dinners
·
Estonian folklore entertainment
·
box lunch for the picnic

This package price will also help us to defray the cost of the meeting room, translators and allow us to provide the group meals for the Estonian brethren. The package price will be $150 per person. This should be paid to us at the beginning of the Feast. All other meals and expenses will be on your own.
