The best week ever!!
For many young people in Zambia, camp is the best and favourite time of the year for them. Once every year we hold camp and many young people from various locations in Zambia attend this event. It’s a time they look forward to being found in the zone, making new friends and being surrounded with people of similar beliefs.
At the home office in Cincinnati we received a box of knit caps, shawls and a blanket. They were knit by Jeff Bertrand who is incarcerated in Caldwell, Ohio. He writes this:
United Youth Camp and Ambassador Bible College Sampler, South Africa: 24 to 31 December 2017
Following on from the success of the UYC Camp held in 2016 the 2017 camp was planned. The 2016 camp combined pre-teens and teens into one camp allowing parents of pre-teens to attend with their young children. This also raised the idea of an Ambassador Bible College Sampler being done in conjunction with the 2017 camp. Allowing the parents to be occupied during camp activities as well as any other adult members wishing to attend.
In the autumn of 1996 Ivan Yurishko, my friend from Khust in western Ukraine, a Sabbath-keeper, visited Misiones, Argentina to Sabbath-keepers, many of Ukrainian origin. I had met with some of these people in Uruguay in 1993 and 1994. Ivan brought Oleh Pavliy with him, who was the son of Sabbath leader Ivan Pavliy from Rokosovo, Ukraine. Here are photos from his 1996 visit.
I will be visiting in this area in late January 2018 with Mario Seiglie and our wives and hope to find some of these people again. I will report on this after we visit.

This is an excellent BBC documentary about the history of the King James Bible. An amazing translation and the work that went into it and the way it was done by the King of England.Continue reading
