How Are We Doing the Work of God in Lithuania?

It is done primarily by
translating our literature into Lithuanian. We have translated many articles
from the Good News. We translated the booklet The Gospel of the Kingdom. Also,
six lessons of the Correspondence Course. I have placed almost all of this on
our Internet website
www.ucg.puslapiai.lt. The main translator has been myself and my daughter
Vidmante. Other people have helped as well. All together seven people are
involved in the translation of Lithuanian literature, all of them are residents
of Lithuania.

Presently my 14 year-old grandson Dovydas has also involved himself by translating half of the booklet What Happens After Death? Lithuania has quite a number of people who have access to the Internet where they can read our materials. We also print copies on paper and send it to people who are interested in our Church through our acquaintances. We make copies of the Correspondence Course available to the public. We have a National Cultural Center and from time to time we have the opportunity to teach the lessons at that Center. The Center publishes an announcement about our meetings in the newspaper. There we teach lessons and distribute our literature. We have about ten people come to these meetings.
How many copies of our literature have we distributed? We have not kept a complete record, but there is one indicator of our work: the printer that we have been using has no longer works because of all the printing and we have had to get a new one.
We have been seeing the results of our work of spreading the truth. Here is one example that occurred here in Kaunas. One of my acquaintances, the deacon of a group of students of the Bible at our meeting said this to me: “You know, not long ago I gave a successful sermon. I used the article, “The Danger of Double-Mindedness” and the people appreciated this message. I have now made 50 copies of that article and am giving it out to people I know. May I give you a copy?” He then gave me a copy of that article by Kevin Epps’ ”The Danger of Double-Mindedness.” He was making copies of this from what we had printed – at the bottom he even included our church’s address. This man not only spreads the truth, he also advertises our Church. When he found out that this material came from us, he asked that I give him other literature from our Church. Then I gave him Lithuanian translations of our literature. He was very thankful for those translations.
